July Visit to the Archives

While studying Madison's Federalist No. 10, I felt it appropriate to visit some of our nations oldest Documents. I went to visit the National Archives last Tuesday and was impressed and inspired by the original Constitution of the United States, Declaration of Independence, and Bill of Rights. The fact that these documents have been preserved throughout our history, considering the constant threat of arson in early American history, is amazing.
These living documents created by the Founding Fathers are a testament to the power of determination and forward thinking; with minimal changes will still use these documents as our foundation. We live by words written ages ago; that is a fact that is both noteworthy, and makes me feel most patriotic. Happy 4th of July! I also have to say that I was very tempted to take pictures, but the thought of being arrested persuaded me otherwise!

  1. A.B.- I posted something very similar a few weeks ago. A visit to the archives is a great supplement to this program, and it must have been even better around the 4th! -KS
