Jazz in the Garden

What a fun time at Jazz in the Garden! You walk down to the National Mall, get to the Gallery of Art, and proceed to the outdoor sculpture gardens where you encounter a pack of pedestrians all trying to enter the gates to see friends and hear smooth jazz music. The atmosphere is incredibly laid back, with abundant pitchers of sangria and cool beer, small pockets of dancers roaming the walkways, and people having a relaxing evening talking with friends. Seating is limited, so getting there early is encouraged, but there's plenty of space to stroll around and see sculptures. If you are lucky enough to find a seat, it's the perfect opportunity to people watch and see the sometimes hilarious behavior of your fellow jazz enthusiasts. As the summer moves forward, the weather gets muggier and hotter, so if you go, prepare yourself and drink extra water!
